Nancy lives in San Diego with her husband, Phil, and their two children, Nick and Katie, 20 and 18. She grew up in the Church of Christ. However, when she left college she left the church for over 20 years. She joined Torrey Pines Christian Church because she and her husband wanted to raise their kids in a faith community. She didn’t expect to become so involved herself. Within five years, she was in seminary at the Claremont School of Theology. She graduated with her M.Div. and was ordained in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in 2007. She has served as an interim in Long Beach and is now serving on several regional committees. She greatly appreciates and enjoys her participation with the Disciples Women of the Pacific Southwest Region where she serves as Co-Facilitator. She has a passion for global ministries and has been blessed to participate in mission journeys to Israel-Palestine, Turkey and Cuba. She continues to be a work in process and is now seriously considering furthering her education, possibly seeking a Ph.D. in spiritual formation.
